Because rainy days make for a restless Rod,
I try to squeeze in walks when I can, even if that means a light rain walk.
Or a puddle filled walk.
Rod is rather unimpressed with my efforts to keep him well exercised.
But on this walk he found something to keep himself entertained.
So I investigated what had caught his attention. One second too late.
I tried to pry open Rod’s mouth and have him release it.
But Rod was not about to let this delicious dead frog go.
I knew what I had to do. I would have to actually touch this dead frog. So I let out a warcry and dove in.
I don’t think either of us were the same after that.
Even if it is in very different ways.
But we still stick together.
Just in the daylight!
i so loveeeeeeeeeeeee your cartoons. It just cracks me up! Was the warcry loud enough to wake up some neighbours? hehhehehehee.. thanks for sharing your wonderful illustrations and your walk with us.

Hi Doxie Rod,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I think you're pretty cute, so now I'm going to follow you around. I can't wait to hear about your next walkie. Hope you don't come across a bear. Goodness that would scare your Mommy!
Hugs, Lily Belle
These cartoons are the best, totally discribe the life of a dachshund. My little Oscars does all of the same things. look forward to reading more :)
