Birdie Rod Part II

And now, the dramatic conclusion...

I went running from the house like it was on fire, scooping Rod up into my arms very dramatically.

I did the most logical thing I could think of – I drove to McDonalds for a sundae while I waited for help to come.

45 minutes later, help did come.  Trouble was, when I returned to the kitchen to show Mike, the bird was no longer there.

All 3 of us walked around the house like a bunch of creeps looking for the bird.

We found him doing laundry.

Just kidding, he was only perched in there.

Thank goodness he chose the room with 2 doors – one leading outside.  Mike opened it up and the bird casually walked – yes, walked – back outside.

Much of the downstairs floor was covered in bird poop, however the upstairs was untouched.  I can only imagine it was because the bird encountered this at the top of the stairs:

Rod probably remembers it like this:

Good job, Rod!!

On fireplace patrol.

  7. What a dramatic story! I'm glad I didn't miss it, but sorry that it happened. I wouldn't like a bird in my house.
