I think Rod would have loved the first Thanksgiving.

Not so much for the Pilgrim-wear. 

But for the turkey dinner.

Fall Rod

How do I know it's Fall?

Starbucks cups are red.

Football a-plenty.

And there is a wild maniac traipsing through leaf piles.

He really loves that crunch of Fall.

Gymnast Rod

The good news - Rod is finally using his doxie stairs! Here is where he stood on the issue a few months ago.

The bad news - he learned they can launch you higher than ever.


Below is a routine usage.

He's looking more McKayla Maroney than I'd like.

Still, he gets 10/10!

Grandma Rod

After a visit with my mom this weekend, I came back home with some clothing items (thanks, mom!)

Rod wanted to know where I went and was quickly on the case.

His nose found the exact jacket in the closet

And sniffed out the right information.

Judging from his tail wagging, he seemed to believe grandma was nearby.

Rod loves grandma and so do I!

Elitist Rod

I guess when it comes to ball throwing…

...I just don't have the right skill set for Rod.

I try not to be offended.

But I just can't help myself.

Runnin' Rod

You may remember that Rod won the DoxPhest races this time last year.

After a couple pre-lim rounds at this year's race, I noticed Rod has a distinctive way of racing: he charges out of the starting blocks and drifts to the center of the track.

Even if someone is occupying the center of the track.

As his coach I feel like I should advise Rod to ditch this strategy…but Rod is clearly the expert here.

This year he successfully defended his title for a repeat win! Here is a clip of his championship run:

Like every doxie, Rod's gonna do it his own way.

Frosty Rod

As the weather turns colder, Rod turns…frailer. 

Rod is no fan of frosty grass.

Like we didn't already see the Mr. Burns resemblance!
